Guide

  • Title: The name of the nation, country, government, etc.
  • Image: A good-quality image of the government, such as the symbol or an image of their territory.
  • Caption: A brief description of the infobox image. Be sure to credit the artist.
  • Full name: If applicable, the governmental entity's full name or designation.
  • Also known as: Alternative names, nicknames, etc. that the government is, or has been, called or referred to as.
  • Type: The type of government as officially described or presented, such as a democracy, theocracy, stratocracy, oligarchy, republic, monarchy, dictatorship, etc.
  • Founding document: The document the governmental entity was founded on, like how the United States was founded on the Declaration of Independence.
  • Constitution: The document that serves as the nation's constitution, like the U.S. Constitution.
  • Head of state: The chief public representative, such as a president, monarch, or emperor. The head of state may also be the head of government.
  • Head of government: The highest or second-highest official in the executive branch.
  • Commander-in-chief: The position in supreme command of the nation's armed forces.
  • Executive branch: The branch of government in charge of governance and executes and enforces law.
  • Legislative branch: The branch of government in charge of making laws and legislature.
  • Judicial branch: The branch of government in charge of the courts, typically comprised of a system of courts.
  • Military branch: The nation's military/armed forces
  • Plane: The plane the nation lies on.
  • Continent: The continent that the nation is on.
  • Capital: The capital city of the nation.
  • Currency: The official currency of the nation.
  • Religion: The religious body or creed officially endorsed by the state.
  • Official holiday: The state's official holiday. like Independence Day.
  • Anthem: The national anthem, like "The Star-Spangled Banner".
  • Formed from: The entity the nation was formed from, like how the Galactic Empire from Star Wars was formed from the Galactic Republic.
  • Established: The date and location (if either are known) the nation was established.
  • Fragmented: The date and location (if either are known) the nation was fragmented.
  • Reorganized: The date and location (if either are known) the nation was reorganized.
  • Dissolved: The date and location (if either are known) the nation was dissolved.
  • Restored: The date and location (if either are known) the nation was restored..
  • Affiliation/Affiliations: Governments, organizations, and other groups the national entity is a part of, or affiliated with.
