Itora
Itora is the name of the world on which Campaign 1 takes place. Itora exists in a Material Plane.
History
In recorded history, Itora has endured three distinct ages: the Age of Dawn, the Age of Bounty, and the Age of Resilience. The events of Campaign 1 take place in the third age. For a timeline of Itoran history as it is now known, with dates, see Timeline.
Calendar
The Itoran methods of dating and timekeeping are identical to the Gregorian calendar.
Geographic characteristics
Continents
- Erzune
- A southwestern continent, Erzune contains the Kingdom of Rottia to the west and the Venorian Republic to the east. Among the smaller regions are the Arndale Protectorate to the north, The Blace Collective to the far east, and the pirate island of Blancgarten to the south. A region of the continent west of Rottia remains unclaimed due to its hazardous terrain.
Oceans and Seas
Underdark
The Underdark is a vast subterranean region that exists below the continents of Itora.
Satellites
Itora has two moons, named Nyl and Klemmaa. Though often depicted close to each other, Catha and Ruidus have different orbits and can appear in different points in the sky.
Nyl
Nyl is similar in appearance to Earth's Moon, though it has a blue-ish tint. It has a 29 day cycle during which it waxes and wanes.
Klemmaa
Klemmaa appears smaller in Itora's sky due to its further distance from the planet, though its green color marks it distinctly in the night sky. It has a very slow orbit, taking many months (up to 247 days) for a revolution, and is visible for over half of the year.
Languages
Many different languages are spoken across Itora. Common is the most widely spoken among humanoids, though most races also have their own language.
