"When My Heart Stops" (1x20) is the 20th session of the first campaign of Itora.
Synopsis
June 18, 353 WSK
Party ambushed by Hobgoblin group. The pit Lurtak dug proves very useful and quite gruesome.
One of the invaders, a monk, was knocked unconscious and tied up. Meanwhile, enemy stragglers retreat and drag away their heavy hitting mage as the party secures the monk.
Versa pursues the leader, the hobgoblin warlord. They away into the dark jungle, fighting one on one, trading blows on the brink of death. The Warlord, on the brink of defeat, manages to down Versa, crippling her leg and leave her to bleed out.
Realizing their rogue had chased after the leader, the party frantically search for her. However, they were too late - only Friend was able to reach Versa as she lay on the jungle floor, losing consciousness. They curled up on her chest as the wounds were too much to bear
Thankfully, Lurtak followed in quick pursuit and brought Versa back to life with a Revivify potion. With the tiefling returned in the land of the living, the party breathe a collective sigh of relief and begin to collect themselves, as they knew this battle was not yet over.
