"Balance Restored" (1x16) is the 16th session of the first campaign of Itora.
Exploring the fey dungeon, the party encounter odd creatures and confront the Dryad at the heart of it all.
Synopsis
The group exit Talia's chamber and meet a mute stone golem in a room filled with stacked-stone and molded statues of varying degrees of completion. They begin work on a statue of Versa.
The party fight some quicklings who dart through a room covered in knee-high foliage. Versa falls down a well-hidden hole with an illusion of spikes at the bottom. Friend scouts ahead to find a room filled with mushroom men. They fight but one attempts to get away, retreating ahead into the dungeon.
Advancing further, the party dispatch more mushroom guards and enter the dryad's chamber. They converse with her, trying to get her side of the story. Versa has a plant statue built by Carith. The talks crumble and Versa initiates combat by attacking her. Despite fighting within her chamber and having to deal with many plant creatures growing from the gardens, the party defeats Carith. She declares that this form is defeated. As a sign of good faith to repent for her misdeeds, she asks that the party spare her tree so that she may regenerate and repent for her actions. They do so and leave her as her form crumbles.
The group heads back to Talia, report their success, and collect their rewards.
