"Meat n Greet" (1x36) is the 36th session of the first campaign of Itora.
The party attend a semi-formal breakfast meet and greet for the Grand Tournament's seeded competitors. The group scopes out the competition through social graces, making some friends along the way.
Synopsis
Before departing the arena after the Monster Mash, Friend and Friends are approached by an official from the Grand Tournament Committee, giving them a formal invitation to a meet and greet breakfast with their other rival competitors. The party wake up early the next morning to attend this semi-formal affair.
The Breakfast
Arriving fashionably on time, the party wait for the breakfast to formally begins. Once all teams are in attendance, an official calls the room to attention, announcing that the prize money has been increased substantially thanks to the generosity of an anonymous benefactor. The grand prize has been doubled from 10,000gp to 20,000gp, and a runner-up prize of 5,000gp has been added. During this announcement, Gael notices Peregrine looking at the ground with significantly less bravado than their previous encounter. The official formally dismisses the attendees to their individual tables to mingle and partake in food and drink to the degree of their choosing.
Pine notices Dharts performing card tricks to several people and is entranced by his magic show. After the crowd dissipates, Dharts heads to join the band playing for the room. Pine sits back and begins work on a new composition tentatively titled "Ode to the Loss of Magic Tricks".
Ricoril heads over to Nohbody after he noticed her playing with a rat. The two talk about the rat, who she introduces as Nyarla, and Ricoril asks to hold them. Dutifully, Nyarla scampers up onto his shoulder. Noting that Nohbody's team, Always Sunny, will be facing Seda Squad in their next matchup, he asks her to give Seda an extra punch for him. She agrees, and replies that she wouldn't be the only one. He walks away with Nyarla on his shoulder, but the rat leaps off and back into Nohbody's care.
